SAD! Meet the boy who dies if he falls asleep, see how he is surviving

Meet the boy who dies if he falls asleep, see how he is surviving

Doctors told the parents of young Liam that he will not last more than six weeks on earth due to the condition he was born with. Liam Derbyshire, a boy from Alverstoke was born with a rare condition that's so rare it only affects about 1000 people worldwide.

Liam was born with a condition called congenital central hypoventilation syndrome(CCHS). A rare disorder of the autonomic nervous system that affects one's breathing

Apart from that, Liam was also born with Hirschsprung's disease, he also had cancerwhen he was young and he has autism, he also finds it difficult to communicate. Despite everything, Liam beats the odds and he's still surviving.

Liam's breathing disorder is one of his greatest challenges he has to overcome daily. His disorder allows him to control his breathing when he's awake but if he falls asleep, he dies. Liam has been surviving with the use of a ventilator whenever he's asleep, though it may look stressful, that's the only to keep Liam living.

If Liam eventually falls asleep without the use of a ventilator, he'll have difficulty breathing and it will lead to his death. Liam has spent his life trying not to fall asleep but go to sleep with the use of a ventilator.

The good news is that Liam is still alive, he defiled the prediction of the doctor and he turned 21 on the 3rd of August which he celebrated.

His mum, Kim who's currently 60 years old, his dad, Peter who's 63, including his three sisters which are Alexis, Francesca, and Danielle all joined in celebrating his birthd

In my opinion, I'll say that Liam's will to survive and the grace of God is what's keeping him. This should also teach us to be grateful for whatsoever we have or wherever we are.

What are your thoughts and prayers for Liam? Don't forget to leave a like or a share.
