Azubuike Michael Egwu was born on 1 February 1985 in Anambra State, Nigeria. Though he was born in Anambra, he grew up in the North. According to him, the Northerners were great people.

He revealed that his fathers was a business man and his mother was a trader. He recalled his childhood when he was young, he used to drive his father's car. He recalled a day when he didn't know when his father came back, and he crashed him fathers car out of fear. That day his father beat the hell out of him. He fainted by was revived with water.

Education

Zubby Michael completed his primary and secondary school education in Adamawa state. He latter went to Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka where he got a degree inMass Communication.

Career

Zubby Micheal stated acting since he was 8. His first professional movie which he featured in was called " Missing Rib"; but officially broke into Nollywood when he acted “The Three Widows”, which featured Oge Okoye. Since then he has featured in over 30 movies.

He has won different awards like Best actor of the year at the Africa Movie Academy Awards, Most Promising actor in Nigeria at the City People Entertainment Awards and many more.

Relationships and family

Though he is not married, he is engaged to Mary Okoye. Though there are words that he is already married, he has not come out to confirm anything. He has a son called Chikamso Ejiofor who also is an actor.

Politics 

On 25 November 2019 he was appointed into a political position as the Special Adviser on Media to the Anambra State governor Willie Obiano.

He was awarded a certificate of recognition for his contribution to the City Radio 89.7 fm youth empowerment initiative in Anambra State

The duo were linked in the past but they have gone their separate ways after some misunderstandings. This could also be proven after Zubby failed to celebrate with Destiny on her birthday which she celebrated recently.
