Meet Celine Dion's twin sons and reason behind their names

Celine Marie Claudette Dion Popularly known as Celine Dion is a Canadian singer. Born on 30th March 1968. She is renowned for her powerful, technically skilled vocals, and remains one of the best selling Canadian recording artist with record sales over 200 million copies worldwide.


Born into a large family from Charlemagne, Quebec, she emerged as a teen star in her home country with a series of French languages albums during the 1980's.

She first gained international recognition by winning both the 1982 Yamaha world popular song festival and the 1988 Eurovision song contest, where she represented Switzerland.

Dion and her late husband Angelil got engaged in 1993 on Dion's 25th birthday, and made their relationship public in the inner note of her 1993 album The colour of my love. They married on 17th December 1994 at Notre Dame Basilica.

Celine Dion gave birth to her twin Eddy and Nelson by caesarean section at St Mary's medical center in West Palm Beach, Florida. She named her twin Eddy, after her favorite French songwriter, Eddy Marnay who had also produced her first five albums, and Nelson, after south African president, Nelson.
