The white or coloured Vitamin C, which one is more effective?

The orange vitamin C is sweeter and so will lure users to take more of it hence they believe that the manufacturers must have factored this in during formulation hence reducing the strength of the coloured vitamin C.

Thus they believe that the white must be of a higher strength and efficacy than the coloured.

The truth is that the orange colored Vitamin C was formulated to enhance the appeal, acceptability and adherence by patients.

Both the white and orange colored have the same amount of ascorbic acid and perform the same function

The coloured vitamin C tablets and the white Vitamin C tablets usually come in the same strength.
That is, when you look at the pack of the common ones we buy, we see same name (Ascorbic acid/vitamin C) and same strength (100mg).

This means that they basically contain the same drug in the same amount and will work in the same way.
