16 clear signs MADNESS is coming

Detecting a symptom early or warning signs and taking actions immediately has proved to prevent some major sicknesses. It may even be possible to prevent a major mental illness altogether.

Major mental illnesses such as schizophrenia or bipolar disorder rarely appear “out of the blue.”

People begin to recognize small changes or a feeling that “something is not quite right” about their thinking, feelings or behavior before an illness appears in its full-blown form.

If several of the following are occurring, it will be advisable to visit a mental health professional immediately.

1, Sleep or appetite changes
Dramatic sleep and appetite changes or decline in personal care

2, Mood changes
Rapid or dramatic shifts in emotions or depressed feelings

3, Withdrawal
Recent social withdrawal and loss of interest in activities previously enjoyed

4, Drop in functioning

5, Problems thinking
Problems with concentration, memory or logical thought and speech that are hard to explain

6, Increased sensitivity
Heightened sensitivity to sights, sounds, smells or touch; avoidance of over-stimulating situations

7, Apathy
Loss of initiative or desire to participate in any activity

8, Feeling disconnected
A vague feeling of being disconnected from oneself or one’s surroundings, a sense of unreality

9, Illogical thinking

10, Nervousness
Fear or suspiciousness of others or a strong nervous feeling

11, Unusual behavior

12, Unusual laughter
Laughing when no one is laughing

13, Emotional outbursts
Everyone has different moods, but sudden and dramatic changes in mood, such as extreme distress or anger

14, Change in dream pattern
Changes in dream pattern, weird dreams can also count as symptoms of mental problems

15, A change in personality
If someone is acting like a very different person or not acting or feeling like themselves, this is a warning sign.

16. Lack of self-care
Lack of care over their health and well-being. A lack of hygiene or lack of concern with appearance

One or two of these symptoms alone can’t predict a mental illness but may indicate a need for further evaluation.

If a person is experiencing several at one time and the symptoms are causing serious problems in the ability to study, work or relate to others, he/she should be seen by a physician or mental health professional. People with suicidal thoughts or intent, or thoughts of harming others, need immediate attention.
