New ways to make your Vagina smell like roses

These are new ways to make your Vagina smell like roses

We want our vaginas to smell pretty, but for 1 in 3 women, a smelling vagina is a monthly struggle, but what’s causing the unpleasant smell?

And the ugly stench is extremely common, it doesn’t mean that you are dirty.

You shower regularly, eat a healthy diet, you change your underwear daily, but for some reason, you still have a horrible odour down there. This makes you more uncomfortable when your partner wants to perform oral on you, or even when people come close to you, not to mention at the gynecologist.

If you’re struggling with vaginal odor and have tried everything under the sun to rid yourself of the problem, here’s what you should know about the various causes of it and how to get yourself treated easily.

Bacterial Vaginosis
Bacteria Vaginosis is a vaginal infection or inflammation caused by an overgrowth of bad bacteria. This causes an imbalance which can lead to the following symptoms:

*A thin off-white discharge
*Fishy odour
*Mild itching or irritation on your vulva or in your vagina

But the tricky thing is 50-75 % of women do not experience symptoms at all! That’s why it’s very important to take note of any vaginal changes that are different from your usual discharge or smell.

BV tends to be more common in women that are sexually active but can occur in women that are not as well. It’s unclear as to what exactly causes BV but there are numerous factors that can cause you to be more likely to get BV.

*Excessive perspiration ( hyperhidrosis leading to bromhidrosis) especially associated with obesity

*Chronic constipation and bloating or dietary factors leading to release of smelly rectal gases

*Urinary incontinence, releasing ammonia
Faecal incontinence

*Poor hygiene, often in women who are elderly or mentally unwell

*Vulval cancer, when it is due to necrosis (death of tissue)

*Discharge or necrosis of other genital cancers

*Trimethylaminuria (fish-odour syndrome)
Olfactory hallucinations, e.g. associated with temporal lobe epilepsy
Psychiatric conditions

*Using scented pads or tampons.

*Washing your vagina with soap or         douching.

* Using fragranced lotions or perfumes on your vagina.

* Washing your underwear with strong detergents.

* Having multiple or new sex partners.

* Allergy to condoms

According to We Belong Project, some women are allergic to certain materials in condoms, which can throw off vaginal bacteria and cause odor. Switch to a few different types of condom over the course of a few weeks and see if the stench improves. This will take a little trial and error.

The bacteria usually does not cause any serious health problems. But in some cases, it can lead to pelvic inflammatory disease which can cause infertility. Pregnant women that have BV may experience birth complications such as preterm birth.

The great news is that BV is totally treatable. Your doctor can prescribe you antibiotics or if you’re feeling a bit too embarrassed to see your doc, there’s over the counter solutions too. But it's always advisable to see a doctor.
