Actor/Politician Yul Edochie reveals his secret to ABS Film Academy students

In the month of September, 2018, Popular Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie visited ABS (Anambra Broadcasting Service) Film Academy students.

While speaking to the students, he revealed to them, how he joined the industry as a Waker pass in 2005. His father, Pete Edochie is a popular made name in the Nigeria movie industry, but he ignored his influence and entered the industry as a nobody. He revealed to them, how he was exploited by the producers and directors as a beginner.
He also went further to reveal how he learnt acting skills and finally leaks his secret of how he became one of the highest paid Nollywood actors. That even though he is a politician now, that acting is the best profession in the world.

Yul Edochie encouraged the students for their determination into becoming actors and film makers, saying that, they are actually in the right place. That film making, acting are among Nigeria’s most profit making businesses. But he didn’t hide the challenges they are going to face as beginners.

According to him, acting is a very serious business. For you to last in the industry, you must first, love the profession. Be ready to be exploited and be used, you will be treated as a nobody.
